Need help with Sunlight? We are here to help.
Sunlight is an iOS daylight-habit and UV-safety planning app. It brings together current and hourly UV forecasts, Apple Health Time in Daylight, manual outdoor records, daylight trends, reminders, and a qualitative Vitamin D sunlight-opportunity estimate. The goal is to help you choose more suitable outdoor times and understand your daylight habits without turning the experience into a traditional weather dashboard.
Sunlight is designed to feel bright, natural, calm, and trustworthy. Its guidance helps you understand UV before enjoying time outside; it does not promise safe tanning, risk-free exposure, or an exact burn timer.

Please do not send Apple Health records or other sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request.
Sunlight needs an internet connection and a forecast location. You can allow location access while using the app or choose a city manually. Review Location access in iPhone Settings if current-location forecasts do not load. Apple Weather availability can also vary temporarily by region or service status.
With your permission, Sunlight reads Time in Daylight from Apple Health. It does not write Health data. Data availability depends on the supported devices and apps that record this Health category. You can review access in the Health app or iPhone Settings.
Pro users can start or stop outdoor time from the Today screen and review today’s manual sessions. Sunlight combines overlapping Apple Health and manual intervals only once in the displayed total.
Open Sunlight, go to Settings, then Data and privacy, and choose Delete local records. This removes manual outdoor records stored by Sunlight. It does not delete records managed by Apple Health. You can also remove individual manual sessions from the daylight records view.
Open Sunlight, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account that made the original purchase.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. In Sunlight Settings, active monthly subscribers can tap Manage Subscription. You can also open iPhone Settings, tap your Apple Account name, then tap Subscriptions. The lifetime purchase does not renew.
No. Sunlight provides general wellness and planning information. UV forecasts, personal exposure context, skin-response ranges, and Vitamin D sunlight opportunity are qualitative or modeled estimates. They are not medical advice, diagnoses, treatment, direct sensor measurements, precise Vitamin D production, exact burn timers, or guarantees of safe exposure or safe tanning.
